The
Nieuwlaan halls of residence where I lived unfortunately, not
the most modern living quarters!.

A
bit dark, but my bedroom on the ground floor (with the rest of
the foreign legion and tacky conditions). Out of view is a small
bathroom on the near right, a stack of shelves further right,
a wardrobe on the left, a bed far left and in view the desk where
my TV and HI-FI was located. The windows were badly blurred and
people from other side could peep in so majority of the times
I kept the curtains shut. A good thing as at times, students would
walk about on the outside ledge peeping into other rooms.

What
a view, Not! small garden in the back and then the RAILWAY line.
Morning noon and night the trains would rush past and the noise
was terrible, but I got use to, you had to.

These
buildings are located next to railyway track and can be seen in
the first walkover rail shot above. The building in the back is
Citi Bank, while the building in the front had just been completed
when I left (when I first arrived in Brussels, they were working
on the foundations).

Located
just to the side of the rail walkover as seen above is this trendy
looking Renault garage.

Near
to the top of Bd De La Kroon as you can see, is just one long
straight road to city centre, but all roads in Brussels are long
and straight. On the far left, the pinkish building was a Chippy.
I had my regulars from there and very good chips indeed. Later
on it closed down that was huge loss for appetite.
